Advanced Mode gives you full control, allowing you to target specific areas of your system and run individual tools based on your needs.
What does each option do?
Disk & Cache
1. Run Disk Clean Up
This utility initiates a comprehensive disk cleanup process, effectively reclaiming valuable storage space on your drive. Its completion time varies based on the frequency of use; running it at least once a week is recommended for optimal results.
2. Run Disk Defrag
While modern computers often utilize faster SSDs, this tool is highly beneficial for systems with traditional hard drives. It defragments files, significantly improving overall system performance. Even with an SSD, the process is quick. For hard drives, completion time will vary. It should be run at least once a week.
3. Empty Recycle Bin
This option clears all items from the Windows Recycle Bin so that previously deleted files are permanently removed and the space they occupy is reclaimed on your drive.
4. Clear Prefetch
Removes Windows Prefetch files, which are temporary data files Windows creates to help launch programs faster. Over time these files can accumulate and become outdated, so clearing them allows Windows to rebuild fresh, up-to-date prefetch data, which can help improve startup and application launch performance
5. Clear Chrome Cache
Clearing the Chrome browser cache enhances your Browse experience, boosts performance, and can resolve common web-related issues. Depending on your Browse habits, it's advisable to clear the cache at least once a month.
