QR Code Generator - Make your own QR codes simply and quickly (Updated Jul 2026)
Description:
QR Code Generator creates custom QR codes for a range of content types — not just plain text and URLs, but also Wi-Fi network details, email, vCard contact cards, phone numbers and SMS messages. Pick the type, fill in the fields, and the tool builds the correctly formatted code for you. You can set the error-correction level, choose custom foreground and background colours, and pick a size preset or your own dimensions. A live preview shows the result, which you can then copy to the clipboard or save as a PNG, JPG or BMP image for print or digital use.
How to use:
1. Choose the QR type. Pick a
QR Type from the dropdown —
Plain Text,
URL,
Wi-Fi,
Email,
vCard,
Phone or
SMS. The input fields change to match: for Plain Text or URL you type straight into the Content box (a URL has
https:// added automatically if you leave it off), while the other types show their own fields.
2. Fill in the details. Depending on the type, enter the relevant details — for example the SSID, security type (WPA/WEP/None), password and hidden option for
Wi-Fi; the recipient and subject for
Email; name, phone, organisation and email for a
vCard; a number for
Phone; or a number and message for
SMS. The tool assembles the properly formatted content in the Content box.
3. (Optional) Set error correction, colours and size. Choose an
Error Correction level — L (Low, 7%), M (Medium, 15%, the default), Q (Quartile, 25%) or H (High, 30%); higher levels make a code that still scans even if partly damaged or covered. Pick
Foreground and
Background colours if you want, and set the
Size — Small (150×150), Medium (300×300), Large (500×500), or Custom to enter your own width and height.
4. Generate. Click
Generate QR Code to create the code, which appears in the Preview panel. Tick
Auto-generate to have it refresh automatically as you type and change options.
5. Copy or save. Click
Copy to Clipboard to paste the image straight into another program, or
Save QR Code to save it as a PNG, JPG or BMP file. Use
Clear to reset the fields and start again.
NOTE: There is no limit to how many QR codes you can generate; create as many as you need for business or personal use.
