File Organiser is a powerful and intuitive tool designed to automate the process of sorting and organizing your files and folders based on date. It simplifies cluttered directories by moving content into a structured, date-defined hierarchy, saving you significant manual effort.
How to use:
1. Select the folder you want to organise.
2. Select the folder where you would like to save the organised files/folders.
3. Select how you would like to organise the files.
Options are:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
4. Select a start date. When looking for files, File Organiser will look for files with in the date range you specify.
5. Select a end date. When looking for files, File Organiser will look for files with in the date range you specify.
6. Select if sub folders should be included in the file/folder re-organising.
7. Select whether you want to organise files by the create date of a file or the last modified date of a file.
8. Use wild card filters to specify what type of file you want to organise. By default "*.*" will include all files.
9. Use "Test Mode" to see what will change and where it will be moved to without moving or changing any files/folders. If you want to organise files, you need to have "Test Mode" turned off by unchecking this option. By default, this options is not selected.
10. Click "Organise" to start the file/folder organising.
11. Use the built in export features. Select from either exporting to text file or to a CSV.
